About TROY
Troy is a singer/songwriter who has been immersed in music all of his life. From performing with show choirs, singing and playing bass in bands to writing his own material and session work as a bass player, singer and arranger/producer. He has won several awards as a solo bass player, band member and made the final round of a CBC song writing contest in the early 90’s with a song that he co-wrote. Troy is also a co-creator of an animated Television show, The Missing Years, which is currently being pitched to networks and industry professionals.
He is also getting ready to release an album which includes the talents of Michael Creber, Buff Allen, Teun Schut, Stephanie Liatopoulos, Brenda Reid, Roger Arndt, Moritz Behm.

He entered a number of battle of the bands contests in his early years of playing, and performed in a Battle of the Basses contest(1st place in all of these). Also received 2nd prize for Bass solo in a school talent show. Has played and toured in bands both in Newfoundland (1990 – 1995) (2023 - Present) and in British Columbia (1996 – 2019).
The songwriting aspect of Troy's life began in the early 1990's. Using an acoustic guitar and a 4 track recorder he has amassed many cassettes worth of material. He has been writing lyrics/poems pretty steadily since that time, and has gone through prolific stages where he has written dozens of songs within the span of only a few months.
Troy discovered Featherstone Recording Studios on Bowen Island, in BC. in 2005 and began tracking songs with the intention of releasing a professional studio album. 4 songs were recorded.
In early 2013 Troy returned to the studio. He has released the first of his songs - Take Your Shoes Off.
He recorded and edited/produced a video for “Shoes”: https://youtu.be/FBe2_euUQmY & will be releasing his first album in 2024 - A Long Time Coming.
